The story introduces us to So-Hee, a kid who feels pretty isolated with no siblings and no friends to call her own.
Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Lowy, a pet python. This endearing tale, from the team behind the Theodor Seuss Geisel Award-winning book ‘You Are (Not) Small’ explores how having a friend can make all the difference.
The plot is simple yet effective, showcasing So-Hee’s journey from loneliness to companionship. The hook lies in the unlikely friendship between So-Hee and Lowy, which makes this story truly endearing.

My final comment: ‘So-Hee and Lowy’ short and lovely read that celebrates acceptance of unlikely friendships. The illustrations are charming, and the text is engaging. However, some plot points feel slightly rushed, which might leave readers wanting more development.

Overall, ‘So-Hee and Lowy’ is a sweet and uplifting tale that will resonate with children. Its themes of friendship and the message about accepting each other’s differences is really nice.
